How to do the Master Cleanse Diet

Before anything else, consult your personal physician to see whether your body can withstand the requirements of the Master Cleanse Diet. You should only begin the Master Cleanse after your doctor has cleared you. Choose a good time for you to complete the Master Cleanse Diet, around 10 to 14 days' worth of free time. You will have to make sure you have no outstanding appointments or engagements that will force you to withdraw from the Master Cleanse Diet.

Most master cleanse diet programs will require you to follow a three-day "ease in" process. This is for a smooth transition from your normal diet to the Master Cleanse. On the first day, you will only consume fruits and vegetables. On the second day, you will move on to soups and broths. On the third day, you should have just fruit juice in your diet. This will help you get used to the liquid diet of the Master Cleanse. The fourth day is ideally the time to start the Master Cleanse.

In preparation for the Master Cleanse, you should have enough ingredients to last you the entire duration of the diet. The ingredients include organic lemons, Grade B Maple syrup and cayenne pepper powder. Make sure that each serving is enough to last two to four hours, but you can also make a mix to last you the entire day on a pitcher of lemonade. Just make sure you keep it cooled to keep the freshness in.

While on the diet, make sure you drink around six to eight 10-oz. glasses of lemonade, or around 60 oz. total of lemonade per day. If the amount per glass is too much for you, try drinking eight to ten glasses of lemonade with 8 oz. per glass, as long as you hit the 60 oz. mark.

Before exiting the Master Cleanse, you have to go through three-day "ease out" process. On the first day of easing out, you should consume only fresh fruit juice. On the second day, you move on fruits and vegetables and on the third day, you move on to soups and broths. It is important not to rush this process as you are transitioning back to a normal solid food diet. On the fourth day, you can go back to eating small portions of solid food.
