Does the bizarre nature of travel always leaves you a little giddy? A moment painfully on the M4 in the rain sad, 12 hours after eating breakfast in the Western Cape, while watching the beautiful southern right whales breech and cover their tails in the Atlantic Ocean? Without doubt, my husband was confused, but absolutely ecstatic!

South Africa is a wonderful country, its amazing diversity - two oceans, vineyards and cosmopolitan, doubtless the best and different game viewing in Africa, the amazing marine life, magnificent flora and fauna, the cities of the hip, adventure sports like diving with sharks more frightening, deserts, swamps, snowy mountains, fascinating and sometimes the culture of open eyes - the list is endless.

The best part of South Africa, which I find is hospitality and the food. It is heaven for any wine and food lovers.

I decided that my husband need to escape the doom and gloom of the current economy of England and the potential recession and British Airways offers air tickets as it was fantastic an opportunity he could not miss. The icing on the cake was the pound sterling became so strong during my time there was an incredible value!

So there was an action Packed four nights. Of the seven courses overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Grootbos Private Nature Reserve in the Atlantic Ocean, where You can watch the whales and dolphins, seals and sharks, ride horses in the green area in the north of Cape Town, farming communities on a farm old family has become a beautiful shelter, reminiscent of a English country home - all chandeliers and silverware. Surrounded by mountains, with a beautiful lake for fishing fly, and acres of land full of plains game for you to walk or bike to their heart's content. For those who just want to relax ... is heaven. My part favorite was to see the weavers working outside doing their nests under your nose.

From there we made the short trip to Franschhoek Vineyards - where culture is to drink wine in the variety of their cellars, or dine at restaurants that line the beautiful city. We were very lucky to stay in the historic wine estate Grande Provence, where the House is a private villa owners that are sold exclusively to guests. Five bedrooms, living room beautiful and crowned by a magnificent swimming pool. Do not reject the wine tasting, gourmet dinner and is also offered.

From there, Cape Town is a necessity - of shoreline agitated, where the hustle and bustle wakes up your senses after the tranquility of the vineyards. Our stay was brief, but only saw the Table Mountain in all its without its usual splendor cloud cover. After once again visiting more wine estates in Constantia (yes detoxification is a must return to England!) My husband flew home.

The amazing thing is that you can leave late Wednesday night UK, fly home Sunday night and be in the office from 9 am to work, giving fabulous four-day holiday, but only two days of annual leave and no jet lag!

The next part was for me absolutely incredible experience - Tintswalo Atlantic. A new hostel in the private reserve near Chapman's Peak Hout Bay and thirty-five minutes from the cup city. The lodge is located in the oceans edge, with waves around you - are really part of the elements! Beautiful and elegant dà © cor but kept under lock and with minimal impact on the surrounding nature. For those who love the sea and wants to see the whales from your bed this is really insurmountable. I will do my best to put in each route that I can!

My journey then ventured in the spring, as the Western Cape to the Kruger National Park dry despair. My first Rhino Walking Safaris experience was (and I must say that in a game unit saw at least 30 rhinos!). My visit included a two-night storm rather Africa dramatic and be rescued from our excursion to sleep! The camp itself is a colonial place, historic area - no frills, but warm water and sanitation. We did see all the Big Five in the first game drive, very impressive.

He also ventured to Sabi Sands Exeter in beautiful properties - if of a unit participating morning lion hunt two hours and some of the hours I spent most exciting game on a drive recently. Followed by the grant Sabi Sabi the four shelters that range from the ancient to the present and future. I stayed one night at the Earth Lodge. A style, ecological interpretation of the future, all smooth clean lines designed to blend into the background, becoming almost invisible. At night it is like dining in a cave by candlelight, the whole mood and atmosphere.

From there he traveled north to Tintswalo Safari in granting Manyeleti Reserve - a lush, exclusive lodge located between the Reserve Timbavati Private north, Sabi Sand Reserve to the south, and open to the Great National Park on its eastern border Kruger fenceless. Heaven for romance - the suites are simply stunning. I enjoyed my breakfast with two huge elephant bulls playing in the waterhole in front of me.

My last stop was the Timbavati Game Reserve in the fun funky, and family-oriented Motswari. Family owned and beautifully designed, with a rawness that I have not experienced for a while - this is Africa, as I remember it. To those who wish to relax and feel at home away from home for the family - this is perfect.
