The Venice of the North

As the capital of Sweden, and also its largest, Stockholm is full of life and character. A visit to the Drottningholm Palace is reminiscent of a fairy-tale palace, with great luxury and architecture surrounded by lush gardens. Stockholm also has a well-rounded community theater and the famous Grona Lund amusement park. The transport system audience in Stockholm, is well connected and easy to use. Options include urban and suburban trains, bus lines, subway, light rail, and the lines ship. You can also travel direct from Stockholm to places in Finland, Estonia and Latvia via the ferry. Stockholm is a very interesting city that is full of surprises. It is active and noisy but clean and quiet. It is modern and avant-garde, but full of culture and history. The climate is relatively mild and there is always something interesting going on throughout the year.
