Many people today are choosing natural bath and body products because they may have sensitivities to chemicals and detergents used in many of these off the shelf products. I discovered the world of natural body care when my daughter developed eczema at nine months - I found that detergents used in regular soap can dry your skin like mine. This is when I began researching handmade soap and its benefits.

Soap Handmade has many benefits for the skin. When making soap, you can choose the oils that you feel suits your skin needs. In reading the recipes soap online, the process seems very simple - choose your oil, run through a soap calculator, weigh ingredients, mix, add water with bleach, remove, pour into molds. However, as the mother of three year old little inquisitive minds five years or less, in collaboration with the saponification agent in the soap, ie sodium hydroxide, also known as lye, was not an option for me. How, then I will have the benefits of soap made by hand without the dangers of bleach?

More research led me to the practice of Rebatching. Rebatching was a soap great choice as I could get all the benefits of handmade soap without working with bleach or store in my home. Rebatching soap is the process of making fresh handmade soap, melting down, adding your chosen oils, aroma and color, and then allowing it to harden.

Soap Modification the lot is not the same as melt and pour soap that is vegetable glycerin soap. In fact, I like to call Rebatching soap, melt, wait, shake, melt, wait, stir, then spread soap. There are some methods can be used for the modification of the lot, but here I will outline the method Rebatching oven that I used.

First, get some fresh (10 days or less) of handmade soap. There are many online vendors that specifically to sell soap Rebatching - find one that works for you. The older the soap, the harder it is to grate or cut and more liquid will be added to achieve good melting. Because the soap is so fresh, it is recommended that you wear gloves while handling to avoid any irritation of saponification of soap.

Preheat oven to 150-200 degrees. The hotter the oven, more has to ensure soap. I put my oven right before the space 200 degrees.

Chop or grate the soap into the smallest possible pieces - the smallest of the pieces, the faster the melting process. For every pound of soap, I add about 2-3 tablespoons of distilled water or milk. (When I made my soap coffee, coffee was my liquid of choice.) Put the pieces in a glass container with a lid of the pot. Pour the liquid over the place in the oven preheated.

Now you wait. Check your soap every 10-15 minutes, depending on the temperature of your oven. Mix the pieces of soap with a strong wooden or plastic spoon. If necessary, add more liquid, but keep the liquid in addition to a minimum. After about 30 minutes, the pieces of soap should begin to turn to a substance such as applesauce or gelatin softened Vaseline. Keep warm evenly and stir until the mixture is as smooth as possible, Without parts without melting.

At this point, you can quickly add your fragrance and essential oils, and its color. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and make sure your skin additives are safe! Stir until the additives are incorporated, then spread the mixture into molds. I prefer to use for registration of a plastic mold or a box (yes, a box) lined with freezer paper. Tap the molds carefully (do not want to splash hot soap on itself) for the soap settles - you do not want any air pockets in the soap. Set your mold or molds aside and let the soap solidify, usually overnight, depending on size the mold. Once the soap has hardened, remove from pan, allow to dry for about three days and have your handmade soap to measure!

I'm sorry I can not help you, I'm from Lufkin TX. I made soap as a hobby considered private and sell locally. I was disappointed by the lack of a good market to sell. What I do is check (in person, with samples) in salons, spas, massage places, herbal, chiropractic clinics, small food stores health and ethnic markets, especially Asia, where natural ingredients and medicinal plants are valued. Be sure to call ahead to see if they mind talking with you, find out what their hours are less busy, or if they have some time to talk with vendors. Do not bother with all staff that is not a manager or owner, they can not help anyway. It will be a Jumpstart to start talking about places like this where you are already a familiar face as ... in, with their customers. If people are afraid of buy a large quantity of its product, reducing its offer to a lot less risky size. Instead of 25 bars of soap, offer 10. You can also negotiate rent a little place in his shop and pay them a small amount to display and promote their product. Do not buy any inventory or reap the benefits of soap, just collect rent from you, a security agreement to them. You can also put your phone number on the package to re-order directly from you. A final idea is to borrow a little place in the store, giving the product in advance and ask them to push a bit and see if it moves. If you do, then have the basis of a relationship working with them, they run the risk of an initial investment to prove. If not, then you can take the money that was sold, give them a cut of profits for their problems, and remove the product from your store, end the relationship. Always giving samples of their product for the owner to use at home or in the bathroom of the company, show them several examples of your work if done by hand and molded or different formulations, and whether to set up display areas, maintain the small screen, and use your own table. You could try a small plantstand which is narrow and has a partner within the shelves. You want this to be very little work and risk on your part as possible, and you want to be used so they can tell customers they liked. The same applies to the footwork and have fun with it.
