Romantic Wedding Favors

It stands to reason that love and romance are associated with weddings. After all that is what the day is all about. So it is little wonder that a wedding with a love and romance theme is a popular choice amongst couples. So if you are choosing this theme for your wedding, here are a few ideas for your wedding favors.

Anything heart shaped will of course coordinate and favor stores are full of items that fit the bill. Here are just a few:

• Mini soaps
• Candles
• Photograph frames
• Chocolates
• Candies
• Bottle stoppers and openers
• Measuring spoons
• Candle holders

Other heart shaped favors include mini cakes and custom cookies. If you didn’t want to venture down the ‘heart shaped favor’ route then use heart shaped tags, stickers or labels on your packaging.

Cupid has a long association with love and romance and the cute cherubic Cupid is lovely for a romantic wedding. Whilst you may struggle to find favors shaped like Cupid, a quick visit to craft store should reveal a range of Cupid inspired embellishments and craft items perfect for adding to your favors. These could include stick on embellishments, printed papers, stickers and mini picks.

Roses and in particular red roses are always associated with romance. You may well be having in your wedding flowers, so favors with a rose design will fit well with the theme. Look out for rose shaped soaps or candles, scented sachets filled with rose buds, mini rose bushes in pots and finally for something a little more obscure – rose hip tea!

Your packaging could also have a rose theme, with many stylish favor boxes featuring a subtle rose print. You could also look for novelty boxes shaped like roses. These may be made from card or flocked plastic. For the ultimate red rose packaging, use small favor boxes and top them with a fresh red rose – either in bloom or in bud.

Finally champagne and chocolates have an affinity with love and romance, being a favored gift for Valetines day. If your budget will stretch to it then goody bags containing half bottles of champagne and handmade chocolates have to be the ultimate wedding favor!

For a less expensive alternative look for champagne chocolates which combine the best of both! Other suggestions include anything which lists champagne as an ingredient such as bath salts or soap, cocktail mixes or look out for things made in the form of a champagne bottle such as candles or bubbles.

Many of the things mentioned above are also made with chocolate in mind. Finally you could combine the best of both with champagne bottle shaped boxes filled with chocolates!
