My chihuahua sheds llike crazy! Is there anything that helps?

I have a male chihuahua long hair that sheds like crazy! I bathe every week, I use a berry shampoo. And I feed him organic dog food. Also brush every 2-3 days .. However, the shedding is not stopping at all. It gets all the face, furniture, clothing, even with my clothes! I know many dog owners have this problem, has anyone found anything that helps?!
