Green packaging, fresh-smelling, and naturally made

What a lovely soap this is--Pure and Natural Bar Soap with cleansing rosemary and mint--and hypo-allergenic for people with sensitive skin. I love to smell like this soap. My library students comment on it--that I smell clean--and that's how this soap smells--clean, not perfumy.I have a huge rosemary shrub in my cottage garden, almost as tall as I am and many times wider. Just walking by the plant produces a waft of pungency. The soap simply has a hint of rosemary, more maybe, perhaps a poof, and with mint blended in, well, a person can smell like a herb garden, or part of one. What better perfume than that?Better. That brown carton the soaps are boxed in? Plant them because the Pure and Natural people put seeds of baby's breath right into that brown packaging. Isn't that amazing? Now this is a green product all the way.

Love Plantlife Soaps

I have just about every one of Plantlife's aromatherapy herbal soaps, and every one is a winner. It's amazing that these soaps last so long, are so gentle to the skin, and the fragrances are so pure, clean, and true. I store them all in a large, glass canister in my bath, and sometimes just take off the lid and inhale. Even all together, you can smell each scent individually, and none are overpowering. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and my nose can't tolerate most fragrances, but I have found these Plantlife soaps to be soothing to both. Excellent products and well worth trying, as well as their lavender mineral bath salts (YUM!). I'll be back for more.

As a honky, I tried out this Soap. It looks like a turd at first, or a chocolate bar so you might be put off rubbing your face into it. It's a strange sensation. I can't say if it helped me or not. It's okay. I eat alot of sausage too.

Both my sister and I had at one point some really bad acne that disappeared with time. I wanted to see if this product worked with the scars. I gave one soap to my sister (didn't work too much for her), I kept one and hoped that I would rate this item as "excellent" within a matter of days. The first few days after using it, my face would get really red and dry, weeks later, it would just get dry (sometimes it would hurt, but I bought me a moisturizer for it). After a month I saw no difference in the improvement of my skin, I actually had some breakouts on my hairline and my jaw for not rinsing my face well. Maybe it did help prevent some from appearing, and it did make my face feel clean, and I actually liked the smell. If you are buying this product, do not rub the bar on your face, rub it on your hands until it foams. That foam in your hands is what you will use on your face. Rub gently, and rinse immediately, don't let it sit there otherwise your face will turn red (depends on your skin type).

BROWN SILK IN THE SHOWER!!!

Brown silk is only one way I can described Dudu Osun soap. I am a dark skinned African American woman with oily skin who has had acne breakouts for 45 of my 55 years. Also, due to extreme sun exposure (I live in sunny Southern California), I experienced unattractive discoloration. My face, neck,fore-arms and hands are MUCH darker than the rest of my body. YUCK. In the pass, I've tried skin lightening cream which would even my skin tone somewhat. But due to the Hydroquinone (sp) controversy , I stop using it all together. I thought I was doom to have miss mactched-tone skin forever.While surfing the "net", I came across a comment about DUDU OSUN Black soap that was so inspiring. I decided to research this product further. I was pleased to discover that this soap contains natural ingredients so I ordered 3 bars.After receiving my order (within a couple of short days), I put it to the test that afternoon. All I can say is for the next 20 minutes (while in the shower), I was in BROWN SUDS HEAVEN. The lather is abundant and the fragrance is like no other.... very pleasant. A little bit goes a long way. But I've discovered that after showering, the bar should be kept in a separate, dry place.I've been using this soap for a little over one month, and I say in all honesty that I have no use for any other face, hand, or body soap other than Dudu Osun Black soap. I haven't had ONE pimple, my skin tone is beginning to even out and my skin texture has never been softer.I also use the Raw Unrefined African Shea Butter for an after shower moisturizer. The products work wonderfully alone, but when used together, the results (IMO) are AMAZING. Well, they are for me, anyway.

The soap smells nice and feels good against my skin, but the bar was really small and just too much money for the amount of soap you get. I think I'll just go to Trader Joe's or another natural food store when I'm done with this bar.

I developed an allergic reaction to it. The licorice-like aroma was heavenly, but after using it, I developed a horrible itchy rash that lasted a few days.

I can't say enough positive things about Plantlife soaps.I came to natural soaps for a very specific reason--a husband whose eczema was virtually out of control. For years, we'd tried keeping him on soaps designed for sensitive skin. While this would generally calm flare-ups slightly, it wouldn't prevent them from creeping up again. Admittedly, since beginning to use Plantlife's soaps, my husband is NOT eczema free... BUT his skin is drastically improved and his flare-ups are down to about 10% of what they once were.The scents of Plantlife's soaps are remarkably pleasant too. I've yet to find one that is offensive to my nose--they're delicately done, not over-powering or too "perfume-y."So if you're thinking of switching to herbal soaps to treat your skin to the best, most natural clean possible--try some Plantlife soaps. If you're simply looking for some aromatherapy or some way to mix-up your usual soap routine--try some Plantlife soaps. I'd be willing to bet that if you returned to "normal," store-bought soaps afterwards, you'd do so grudgingly and reluctantly!

Best Soap I've used so far

This was the best soap I've ever used for my skin! I used to use Johnson & Johnson Purpose soap, but, that dried my skin out too much. I have very sensitive but dry skin, and was willing to try an all natural soap to do the job. I abuse my skin every morning too as I shave with an old fashioned safety razor which can do a job on your face if you do not replace the moisture and heal your skin properly.You can feel the actual ingredients doing what they're intended to do as you wash your face, and the smell is great too. I may buy a case of this soap on Amazon if I can find it, or will order several bars at a time. I use this soap in conjunction with 100% raw natural African shea butter.Great buy!

I've looked for so long for a cleanser that I could use on my D-R-Y face. I've paid as much as $150 for a skin care line (stupid huh!), still I was not satisfied. I ran across this product while playing around on Amazon and read some of the reviews. I decided to order, I mean.....why not...I've certainly given everything else a chance. Normally I clean my face with a carrier oil but I just can't escape the wanting of some suds when I'm removing my makeup. I ordered several bars and waited anxiously with the highest hopes.... I didn't wait long, this company wasted no time getting my order out. I retrieved it from my mailbox within a couple of days and couldn't wait to try it out. I opened my package to find my order and two samples, a soap sample and a sample of essential oil...these were no skimpy samples either. I have a lot of respect for companies that send samples for two reasons....first it shows me that they have confidence in their products and secondly it shows me that they are more interested in winning customers and keeping them instead of "greedy grabbing" and continuously depending on a fresh lot of customers. Anyway...I immediately began to wash my D-R-Y face, wondering if I was making a big mistake....usually it takes quite a bit of time to get a decent amount of moisture back once I've messed up with a cleanser .... anyway, as I was washing....I was stressing....the suds from this soap were just plain silky....I was enjoying this but was afraid I would over do it so I began the splash rinse cycle. While rinsing I realized....uh....my skin was squeaking....AHHHHHHHHH...that's the scariest sound in the world for people with dry skin....it ALWAYS means dry and tight! However, after the rinse my skin felt smooth, not tight, not oily. I decided to wait 20 minutes before applying moisturizer...I was so sure it my skin would be dry....it wasn't! After the 20 minute wait my my skin was perfectly balanced. I applied a couple of drops of camellia oil and found my skin simply glowing. Next up was the shower. Again I was not disappointed, this soap produces such silky suds and a delightful aroma. My skin felt soft and clean....squeaky clean. This soap is wonderful for balancing the skin and I imagine it would work well for any skin type, furthermore I don't have to worry about chemicals that dry or irritate. This is a soft soap...I cut my in quarters so that I don't have an entire bar dissolving....

Our clan has sensitive skin, so we love handmade soap b/c it is so gentle compared to commercial, detergent bars. The Plantlife soaps are great quality. They contain no preservatives, colorants or fragrance oils. Instead they are made with essential oils and botanicals. Plantlife's Oatmeal Almond bar works up into a creamy lather and cheerful cherry-almond scent. As a nice bonus, the oatmeal and ground almonds provide a little extra scrubbiness. Emollient enough that we don't need lotion afterwards. Definitely a winner!

One of My Favorite Soaps Ever! Smells Yummy!

I bought this soap for my husband and the first time he used it to wash his hands, I walked into the bathroom and the scent was heavenly! (I made him slice me off a sliver since I'd only bought one in this scent.)I've purchased and used many Plantlife soaps and am never disappointed. Their excellent products are all natural and last for months. I highly recommend all of their soaps. They make fabulous gifts to add to gift baskets for friends and family.

I've been on a spa-at-home kick lately and particularly interested in natural spa products. I came across Plantlife products when I was looking for some aromatherapy candles (which I bought from them and I deeply love). When I received the candles I got two small free samples - this soap and a bottle of lavendar oil. After trying out the soap, I immediately purchased 3 larger bars of a few different scents, including this one. All the soaps I bought have the wonderful fragrances I expected when I picked them out - peppermint, lavendar, etc., but I love the Cassia Clove smell - it has a unique earthy smell, but is not overpowering at all. The bar is solid and a perfect size for what you pay. When you lather it on, it glides across your skin without a whole lot of foam and fuss, but you can still see a trail of the natural oils that it is made from. It is gentle, but leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh and very soft. I am hooked on all of these soaps and have started purchasing many of the different products that Plantlife makes.

Great soap!

I really enjoy the soap. The smell, the feel of the suds, and the freshness after using it. The only problem is that is the coloring or dye, (I assume is natural), discolors my washcloth when I rub it on the cloth. A little disconcerting the first time that this happens, but I still rate the soap highly since it is mild and does a great job on my skin. I have very sensitive skin and this soap is good. Happy face!
