A British hairdresser prescribed L'oreal's high-end product line for my thick, wavy, Indian hair. He also recommended the Kerastase masque treatment. Both are godsends to someone such as I who'd previously only ever selected haircare products from club card discounts on supermarket shelves & would've balked at the idea of such an expense. If Oleo-Relax doesn't work up a nice lather the first time you use it, here's one case where you have to rinse then repeat. Total strangers ask me if they can feel my hair, and I get compliments all the time. But even without other people complimenting me, I can feel that my hair isn't as coarse as it used to be. I've been using this product for the 2 years since I began shacking up with the hairdresser, but his salon doesn't sell L'Oreal, which means that he can't just steal me some from work but instead I have to buy it from Amazon for my own damn self. But hey, I'm worth it.

I have extremely dry, frizzy hair, and have to say that so far I'm impressed with the results of the Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. I've tried every shampoo, dryer, straigtener and even had the keratin treatment at the salon earlier this year, but the results from just one wash/condition is very impressive. If you have dry, frizzy hair then I suggest you give this a try.

This shampoo worked as described. I was really surprised about the way it worked with my texture of hair. My texture is very thick and coarse. After I used the shampoo it felt very smooth. Then I proceeded to blow dry and flat iron my hair as I would normally. Wow! The end result was like I just put a relaxer in my hair! It was smooth, shiny and very manageable. I loved it! This product did make a difference in my hair. I will continue using Kerastase Nutritive Bain Oleo-Relax shampoo.

I love Kerastase, they offer a great line of products in general. The Oleo-relax is non-greasy, doesn't way the hair down and gives a styled and natural look with out the fly-aways. My hair is soft, movable, and shiney. I have not experienced any build up from using this product and would highly recommend it.

Great prodcut but expensive

I think this is a great product. It is very lightweight and not greasy. However, it is fairly expensive. I had the opportunity to try Moroccanoil and found it to be a better product. You will use less Morrocanoil than this product, and Moroccanoil costs less.

It is made of Shorea Seed Butter & Palm Oils. Apply 1-2 teaspoons to clean, towel-dried hair. Massage from roots to ends, then comb through. Leave in for 5 minutes. Emulsify with warm water and rinse thoroughly.

I have naturally dry wavy, course thick hair. I decided to go out on a limb and buy this very expensive product based on its great reviews. I had very high expectations for this, so I was a little disappointed when my hair didn't turn out silky and soft. But it did do a better job than anything else I've tried. My hair was a little more soft after the 5 minute treatment. I will continue to use this product, but I probably won't buy a new bottle once it's out because it's just too expensive!

I put this on when my hair is still wet and I can literally feel my hair RELAX. I have thick curly/waves that takes me awhile to control and straighten. I even put it on one day then decided to wear my hair curly and it didn't even curl. With the heat from a hair dryer and a round brush I can get my hair straight without a flat iron!

Great Product for Wavy Hair!

I have mid length, fine hair (except I have a lot of hair which makes blow drying/straightening quite a chore!) This product is light, not sticky and makes a real difference when I straighten my hair. My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy, but this cuts down on dry time and I don't even need to use a straightening iron.It's definitely expensive, but at the rate I've been using it, I'll have this product for 6 months, which makes it worth it in the long run!

I am a 43 year old that lives in NY and in the summer time the heat and humidity can be brutal on my hair. After using this product I do not have to worry about it anymore. This stuff is amazing!!!!!! It is expensive but worth every penny. My hair is really unruly and frizzy but no more of that with this. I highly recommend this. So sorry it toke me 43 years to find it.

For 40 years I have been searching for something that actually would tame my hair and make it straight and silky. In that time I have tried literally hundreds of products. This one actually works!I've always had long hair, but could never grow it as long as I really wanted because it becomes frizzy, dry and unmanageable. A little humidity or a nice breeze and I wind up looking like Larry from the 3 Stooges. Now my hair is approaching shoulder length and it looks like I've always dreamed. Expensive, but worth trying

I have very long, straight, fairly thick hair. It's naturally light brown, but I've been highlighting it heavily for years, and the ends have recently become extremely dry and difficult to manage. The underneath part that lies against the back of my neck is especially difficult and, after combing, retangles itself within minutes. I was beginning to think I'd have to cut the bottom 6 or 7 inches off and start over, but my colorist (who, by the way, works in a salon that doesn't carry Kerastase, so I figure she's being objective) recommended the Kerastase Oleo Relax line. I figured it was worh a shot, even though the combined cost of the retail sized shampoo and conditioner is about $100. My hair definitely appears MUCH smoother, even when air-dried. (However, I've noticed that continued use is necessary, because when I use anything else my hair doesn't look nearly as good.) I leave the conditioner in for 10 to 15 minutes as the label directs; thoroughly combing it through in the meantime seems to give the best results. With both the shampoo and the conditioner, a little product goes a long way (in contrast to cheaper drugstore products), but the conditioner comes in a smaller container and seems to go faster. I'd suggest purchasing 2 conditioners for every 1 shampoo.

Excellent moisturizing, frizz-reducing deep conditioner

This is an excellent product if your hair is damaged; it moisturizes very well, but also leaves hair lightweight, and very smooth. I color my hair frequently, and this product is absolutely essential. I have medium to thick hair, and fairly sensitive skin and did not experience the burning sensation another person described (perhaps a bad batch?).I think if you're looking for something with only moisturizing properties (and no de-frizzing benefits), I'd recommend going for Kerastase's Nutritive Masquintense Epais instead, but overall this product is just superior to every other smoothing/relaxing product I have tried. If your hair is damaged, don't forget to use a gentle shampoo before conditioning--it will enhance the benefits of the Oleo-Relax conditioner, and the results will be even better.

I should preface this review by saying that I am a Kerastase fan, and I have used the Oleo Relax shampoo for a long time. I have thick, wavy, color-treated hair that needs excellent moisturizing and smoothing to look good. This mask was, for lack of a better word, weird. It smells like the other Kerastase products, but I could barely read the instructions on the jar (which is an inconvenient container in any case). The mask sat on my hair forever (you have to leave on for 10-15 min.) in the shower and felt worse and worse -- it may not be apparent but this product is not for those with sensitive skin. It burned my scalp and make my hair feel heavy and lifeless. Very disappointing for the cost! I will go back to Pureology products, which are gentle and work much better.
