Is it okay to use a shampoo and conditioner from 2 different brands?

Everytime I see magazine reviews of shampoos and conditioners for my hair type (of relief) to recommend a shampoo and conditioner brand from another. Want to my hair so soft and shiny as you can after volumious emphasize that.

Its perfectly fine and normal to use two different brands, many people do. Only make sure the "type" of hair products do not crash, as "extra strength" shampoo and "curl" conditioner. But the use extra straight and smooth and shiny would be nice. If you use the type of shampoo and hair conditioner that the magazine says it will be fine. Hair does not turn red!
