Not "smoothing" at all

I love the idea of organic hair products, recycled packaging and earth-friendly inks, but this conditioner is AWFUL. I have long, fine to normal hair. I usually apply conditioner, let it sit, then comb out with a wide-toothed comb before rinsing out, but the Shea Butter conditioner just made my hair feel like straw (while in my hair!) and created such a tangled mess, I was combing out chunks of hair. Horrible. Basically, all it did was scent my hair (which was yummy), but I ended up having to use another conditioner just to untangle the mess without ripping out more of my hair. I like Organix shampoo, but the conditioners are not impressive at all.

Smells great...not bad on the hair either

I consider myself to have an oily scalp but dry, sometimes frizzy ends. I came across this product in a store [Nourishing Coconut Milk] and I thought let me give this a try. I bought it before I read reviews so I was worried when I read many reviews that said this product made their dry hair feel hard and like straw. But to my surprise, I had NONE of those issues. I will disclose: my African-American hair is relaxed & I used the Coconut Milk conditioner as my protein conditioner & then followed up with a moisturizing conditioner (Mizani Moisturefuse Moisturizing Conditioner Size: 8.5oz). I was able to comb through my hair with this conditioner in it with much ease. My hair was nice and soft after rinsing the Coconut Milk conditioner out of my hair. All of this was BEFORE I used the moisturizing conditioner. I expected a hassle but never got it. After I was completely done, I was able to comb out my hair in RECORD time.

I'm kind of surprised that this conditioner is getting so many negative reviews. I guess it could be since everyone's hair texture is different, but for me this product has been one of the best I've ever used. I'm african american and I'm currently transitioning to all natural hair. I most likely have 3c/4a hair type and this stuff works on my new curls coming in and on my permed ends. It keeps my hair moisturized and soft. I usually use this product as a cowash, leave-in, detangler, and deep conditioner as well. I definitely love the smell of it too and my hair still has that lingering smell even after a couple of days (it's not strong but when you smell my hair you get a faint wift of the coconut fragrance). This conditioner also helps to define my curls and keeps frizz at bay. So if you're transitioning or have naturally curly hair, you should definitely try this product out!

if you've never used an organix product before i would tell you to use the coconut milk products! this conditioner is the best drug store/value store conditioner i've ever used for my hair. my hair is very dry and even brittle and this shampoo/conditioner makes my hair so smooth, shiny and tangle free. i love the light smell of the coconut when i use all three!

Beyond Moisturizing!

I have dryer skin than most and sometimes have Eczema flare-ups. When i was diagnosed with eczema as a little girl, my mom went through so many lotions from Eucerin to Lubriderm. I stumbled upon this lotion about 2 years ago after i nearly forgot "Keri" even exsisted because it had been so long since i've even thought about it. It is by far the best lotion on the market if you suffer from DRY skin.It's Creamy, Thick, and leaves your skin feeling OsO Smooth with a moisture barrier that actually Lasts! I would never switch over to another lotion. It even topped Aveeno and i thought that was impossible. I would'nt recommend it on your face because it is a little greasy and will probably induce breakouts.It is a bit pricey at 7-8 dollars a bottle, but it is well worth it (for me at least). I absolutely hate watered down lotions and having to apply like 2 or 3 coats just to get properly moisturized especially out of the shower! With this only one coat works. It's amazing! Not to mention the Black bottle is so sexy. Way for Keri to make a comeback!

Palmer's Shea Butter Lotion is a life-saver for dry skin. The creamy lotion nourishes and restores parched skin. This lotion is rich and moisturizes skin with just a small application. Due to the richness of the lotion it is best applied on damp skin after the shower.Apparently studies have been done on shea butter which reveal some miraculous properties of this ingredient. It can aid cell regeneration and capillary circulation which aids healing of the epidermis. Also, it has restructuring effects on the skin and dry hair.The best part of this lotion is the wonderfully rich and floral scent. My husband told me it makes me smell like wildflowers in Big Sur! The buttery rich smell combined with a wonderful sweet mixed floral scent is superb. Highly recommended!

Palmer's Shea Butter is the best. I love the smell, it makes a wonderful lip gloss over semi-permanent lipstick like Max Factor's Lipfinity. Just apply with a lipstick brush. Buy a samll sample one to carry in your puse and a large one to refill the small one.

A great body cream

As an African, I know the body skin healing effect of the Shea butter. In the West African when the extra dry Hamattan weather comes and your body skin begins to crack, shea butter is the best natural solution. Palmers Shea butter cream is a the best formulation I have had the chance to use. Recently, I was having a lot of skin problems, due to my highly dry skin, and none of the body lotions here in Japan was good enough. I bought this product and after few days of using it, my body is back! smooth and looks great - yes, not only for woman :-)

Love It!! Even in the summer!! Not too thick and somehow helped my acne. But, only when I use cool water on my face then peroxide then Palmer's. I hae ve used it since forever!!!!1

Incredible Prevention from Stretch Marks

This Palmers Shea Butter Jar and Palmers Cocoa Butter Jar, being the two products in their most solid pure form worked perfectly. Having the family genetics for really tight skin, which is fabulous for aging, is horrific for pregnancy. All maternal woman in my family suffered daggar-like scaring. Stretch marks of deep purple that were on average 2 inches wide, 4-6 inches long, and depressed into the skin quite significantly perseaving to be about a 1/4 inch depth. Nonetheless I was terrified to have these slasher movie stretch marks permanently with no possible future treatment to correct. I religously used Palmers beginning at 3-4 months daily to prepare the skin for its stretch. Making sure to use generous amounts for if the skin is not moist 24/7 then stretch marks can happen, especially beginning at 6 and the crucial 8-9 months. I made it through my first pregnancy with NO STRETCH MARKS and am now conquering my second as well. I must confess, I did get stretch marks where I forgot to put Palmers: the upper thighs and around your sides on the new love-less handles. I didn't realize I'd be stretching there. This time I have added those to areas to my battle plan and have been winning. You know your using enough when it should take about 4 3.5oz jars or 2 7oz jars for the entire pregnancy. That's coming from a currently 31 year old average 5'9", 150lb 10-12 wearing girl, with average 35lb pregnancy weight gain. Simply put BUY IT, USE IT RITUALISTICLY AND SAVE YOUR SKIN. For the days going back to a bikini can be in your future.

Vanilla is my favorite fragrance. I had been searching for a vanilla shampoo whose scent would last long after you shampoo. This is it. If you close your eyes you'll feel like you are on vacation on a tropical island. It also leaves your hair feeling like..well, silk. My boyfriend kept telling me how great my hair smelled and felt. It is worth the price. Now only if they could come up with a similar body wash.

Surprisingly Really Great

Hair Type: Curly/Wavy/Blah/ and normally very frizzy without productSo, after reading a few a reviews and smelling this amazing scent in the store, I decided I was going to try it out. I never usually spend this much money on a shampoo but I was desperate for a shampoo without sulfates and how could I resist such a heavenly scent? Today I tried it out for the first time and I am so completely satisfied. At first, when lathering my hair up I was about doubtful as my hair didn't really smell that great. Once I had rinsed out the conditioner (after leaving it in for 10 minutes or so) the softness of my hair was pretty good, but not that soft after getting all the product out. Then I let it dry for half an hour, without any product except heat protectant, and it was very frizzy. But oh my god, after blow drying my hair, my hair is so soft and silky. This shampoo and conditioner made my hair look so healthy and so shiny. The smell isn't that strong but you could pick up the scent if you hugged me or something. Anyway, love this product. If you were hesitating about getting this product, just go for it. The worse that can happen is that you wasted a 14 or less bucks on shampoo and conditioner.

Average---Don't Be Fooled Like I Was by the "Flavors"

Well, I have tried the Vanilla Silk and the Cherry Blossom Ginseng shampoos. What can I say. It is a basic, average cleansing shampoo with a great ad campaign. The packaging gets you, or it did me. But not anymore. It does have a nice, mild, and not an overpowering fragrance, and, as I said, the container is sublime. So I was taken in by the packaging. Now I bought the vanilla several months ago, used it perhaps three times, did not think it wonderful or extraordinary in any special way, so I just stopped using it, and it sat in my bathroom. I saw the cherry blossom shampoo and bought it. Same thing--very basic. So, I can say with all certainty, no matter what "flavor" you buy, the results are the same. It is a basic shampoo and that is all it is. I will not buy it again, and I will conclude by saying the positive aspects are that it does leave the hair fluffy and with volume, but so do a lot of shampoos. The negatives seem to outweigh the positives. You do, you most certainly do, need to follow this with a conditioner, as you do with any shampoo, but with a conditioner or without a conditioner, it leaves the hair moderately dry. Even bordering on unmanageable. That is for sure. There is a lot of detergent in these shampoos. It may be called Organix, but it is far from organic. All in all, not recommended. Sorry I bought it. Never again.

awesome for fine thin flat hair

I have naturally oily hair on the top with dry ends...this shampoo and conditioner does not cause heaviness that weigh your hair down yet if you leave it in for 3 mins it really hydrates the dried ends. I must admit you have to be very liberal with the amounts, patient enough to let the conditioner sit, and must rinse well.
