The manufacture of soap?

I'm going to make soap. I ordered the clear glycerin. Food coloring working for the color of the soap? I have no hobby shop in the town. Must be 4 hours drive to get closer or to my supplies. BTW I'm making soap baskets for Christmas gifts. The things I am doing is a warmth and pour everything I have to do is add my own scents and colors.

Please do not use food coloring. Stains! Nothing would be worse than getting a soap beautifully crafted handmade leaving your sink and body dyed blue! If you absolutely can not order online or eBay - Try using melted crayons (in moderation!) If you have a near Ben Franklin - who may have a limited supply of soap dye for you.
