I love Tone, love the smell and how it makes my skin soft, and the wonderful scent lingers longer than with other soaps. I switch between Irish Spring, Tone, and body wash. I love the smell of Tone, but I think that is the cocoa butter in it that other people don't like. I have cocoa butter lotion, and that has an even stronger scent, but I like that smell, too.

Best bar soap

My family has always preferred the original scent Tone soap with cocoa butter. Leaves the skin clean but not dehydrated with a nice neutral scent. Unfortunately, most stores now carry Tone in different (and much stronger) fragrances which we do not like. Nice to be able to purchase the original on-line.

Tone Skin Care Bars of soap with Cocoa Butter and Botanicals (including aloe and papaya) does moisturize your skin while cleansing it as a type of soap with water. The bars are easy to hold onto in the shower; and the moisturizing additives (including the cocoa butter) make a big difference between this and regular soap.Tone may call these "skin care bars;" but rest assured you will find them in the soap aisle of your supermarket. Tone advertises them as "skin care bars" to try to set them apart from the other soaps; but this still remains a type of soap.Unfortunately, these bars of soap have a slight smell that I don't care for. I can't quite describe it in words; but I assume other people must like the scent for Tone to keep on selling. However, if you're allergic to perfumes and scents, this would not be the soap for you.All in all, this is good soap for persons who want a soap that helps you moisturize your skin when you're in the shower or bathtub. I personally don't care for the smell although others may like it.Three and one-half stars.

Is this product becoming obsolete?

I have three large separate grocery stores in my area who no longer carry the Tone Foaming Hand Wash. I have looked all over the internet but very few companies sell it online. I emailed the corporate office at [...] and the parent company Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, based in Duesseldorf, Germany. They didn't really answer my questions on how to get it locally. But they noted the bottles will change. No longer see through, they will be solid covers with the following scents: Island Mist, Mango Splash, Wild Flowers, Almond Milk, Coconut Milk, Water Lily & Sugar Cane, Wild Rose & Coconut. I finally found and bought some bottles. TAKE NOTE: Unfortunately these new 7.5 FL OZ bottles go empty a lot faster than the old bottles!!! A lot more watery too, but still foam the same. Hard to believe they keep this brand when it is not available anywhere and the new bottles don't last a few weeks.

When I think of foaming soaps I think of thin, watered down soap that I have to use a lot of -- many pumps -- to get my hands clean. I was pleasantly surprised by this Tone foaming soap that creates a rich thick lather, making it easy to wash your hands completely with a single squirt without it all dripping off into the sink.This will change your mind about foaming soaps!

I love this soap - no others come close. When your hands are greasy from butter, crisco or bacon, with this soap you are a pump away from clean, greaseless hands. Really! It also doesn't dry out my hands at all. I can use it all day in the kitchen and my hands are just fine. Now I have them in all my bathrooms too.My favorite scent is Water Lily & Sugar Cane because it's not very strong. The other scents (such as the one I'm reviewing) are nicely fragrant and will become a background scent in that area of your home.

Foaming liquid soap is generally thinner and watery, or else it will clog the mechanism to produce suds. You can buy refills in bigger containers. Or better, some people are successful in mixing water and other liquid soap.Tone is made by Dial. Dial also makes a line of foaming soap but Tone is known more for their cocoa butter soap products. A 7.5 oz bottle lasts a long time. It is gentle to the hands and has a nice refreshing smell. More convenient than a regular soap for your powder room and sinks. Generally one pump is enough to cover both hands. Just make sure that you cup your hands or the soap will spurt across the room. One wrong pump is all that it takes to learn how to use a foaming soap dispenser.
